Oaks & Arrows

Oaks & Arrows is a Christian ministry that equips fathers to disciple their sons from boyhood to manhood through intentional time together, shared challenge and adventure, honest conversation, and biblical teaching.

Through weekend retreats, local gatherings, guided curriculum, and year-round resources, fathers and sons grow in faith, character, courage, and responsibility.

Rooted in truth.
Formed for manhood.
Sent with purpose.

The mission of Oaks & Arrows is to equip fathers to disciple their sons towards faithful manhood. The rhythm is simple.

Gather

Before a life can be shaped, time must be shared. Fathers and sons step away from distraction to make room for what matters. We share meals, outdoor challenges, biblical truths, worship, laughter, struggle, and honest conversation. Fathers and sons build trust, strengthen connection, and lay a foundation that lasts well beyond the weekend.

Grow

Formation doesn’t stop when the gatherings end. Through guided curriculum, meaningful conversation, shared adventures, service opportunities, and the ordinary rhythms of home, we equip fathers with the tools and confidence to disciple their sons well and help form boys into men of faith, character, strength, and purpose.

Go

As boys grow, they’ll begin to carry what they have received into their friendships, families, work, church, and calling. Our hope is to prepare young men to live rooted in Christ, lead with humility, serve with courage, and faithfully carry forward what has been entrusted to them. What begins between a father and son becomes a way of life that can shape generations.

A journey shaped by intention, presence, and the strength of walking together.

Through Oaks & Arrows, fathers and sons are surrounded by a community of like-minded families — men who encourage one another, share in the joys and the burdens, and help each other form their sons faithfully.

Oaks & Arrows draws its name from three biblical images of faithful formation.

Psalm 1 describes the righteous man as a tree planted by streams of water — steady, nourished by God’s Word, and fruitful in season.

Isaiah 61 gives that tree a name: an oak of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, established for His glory.

And Psalm 127 turns our attention to the next generation, describing children as arrows in the hand of a warrior — gifts to be shaped, entrusted, and sent.

Together, these passages capture our hope: rooted fathers forming sons who grow into oaks of righteousness and carry faithful manhood into generations to come.

The oak tree gives shape to the way that we practice the formative work of discipleship.
